November Ç0, the staff of the Youth Facility St. Petersburg-1 organised a charity event for the children, patients of the oncological ward of the Research Institute named after Petrov. A play “Autumn fairy-tale” was performed, dancing programme was shown. The youngsters and co-workers of the Youth facility and the dancing group of the Youth’s Creative Work Center took part in the preparing of the programme. The little patients of the oncological ward, who are under the necessity of staying within four walls for many months, got an opportunity to see a funny performance and laugh for a while. Besides, it is very important that the SOS teenagers whose lives also were not easy, have a chance to help other children in trouble. The partners of the event were volunteers from the charity fund “Piligrim”. The realization of the performance became possible owing to the Children’s Charity Fund “Victoria”. We hope that this experience, yet the only in Russia, will get support and development.  |
