The old friends of SOS Children’s Village Lavrovo – the co-workers of Swissotel Krasnye Kholmy like the previous year presented a Christmas holiday to the SOS children. This time they decided to get the hotel’s guests for charity. Each of them got an opportunity to become a “Santa Claus” and to give a miracle to a child from CV Lavrovo.  A Christams Tree was maintained in the hotel’s lobby. It was decorated with glassy balls; each of them contained a drawing and a letter to Santa Claus from a Lavrovo child. The guests could fulfill a New Year wish of a youngster by donating a necessary sum of money to buy a gift. The “New Year magicians” all together collected about 80 thousand of roubles.  The Swissotel General Manager Ian Jones and his co-workers longed for presenting the gifts to the children in person and went to SOS Children’s Village Lavrovo on the New Year eve. They took part in the village fest, where they sang and recited poems. Then they visited every family house and presented the gifts to the children.   |
