On the 20th of May, SOS Children's Village Tomilino celebrated its 11th birthday. As always there were many guests present - Friends of the Children's Village. The Village's children and co-workers prepared a wonderful celebration: a performance by the Children's Village's choir and some dances. The administrative office was decorated with photographs and children's drawings.  The highlight, both for the audience and the participants themselves, was a mime contest, in which children from every Tomilino family house and their SOS-Mothers took part. Each family depicted a scene from a well-known animated cartoon film, and the audience had to guess the heroes. Of course, in such a contest there could be no losers!   Next the children took part in an outside competition "Path of trust". Each team had to follow a woodland route, overcoming the various obstacles. Here friendship also won!   Football fans had the opportunity of playing 2 interesting matches: teams of children and a team of youngsters from the Youth Facilities played against the Children's Village's co-workers and pedagogues from the Youth Facilities. Children and guests, having worked up an appetite in the fresh air, then took part with great enthusiasm in the traditional picnic. In the evening, there was a fun disco for both children and adults. |
